PRESENT CONDITON OF NUNNERY

These nuns had to cook by each of themselves during seventy-five years even living in the nunnery. Now they just have started the common kitchen from July 2008. They collected the offering money like Mani prayers, Tara prayers and fast practices. Nevertheless, this prayer’s money cannot help continuously to run this nunnery about common food. Therefore, they are requesting to all others brothers and sisters to support for food and education too. They are still Have  been cooking food by woods but now Nepal government made  new rule about not allow to cut fire wood from the forest and also it takes whole day to  take woods from very far away. They liked to learn Tibetan Buddhism on main practices since many years but they didn’t get the perfect teacher until the end of April 2008.

SOCIAL –ECONOMIC CONDITION

Generally, the world’s economic condition has decreased. Nepal’s economic state is very much diminishing in these days because of politic situation has changed.

If we see from the main point of view then this nunnery is the main center for these devotee people for practicing Dharma as their wish. When you see Daily Dharma routine and continuity practices of those nuns then you will realize it has already have been progress of peace environments after built the nunnery. Anyone would feel very calm, peace and like to stay for few days when they visiting there. They would have got unusual experience of mental peace and happiness when they stay for few days at nunnery.

They would like give modern education to Younger nuns which are very important. As I’m going to Bigu with volunteers and I came to know all their difficulties and problems which they are facing and also their willing to do and what they would like to do too. They don’t have any donor and sponsorship. For me my volunteering and also contributing is very important project for the future of nuns and for nunnery also for local people.
