This monastic was founded by some of local people of Gurung and after few years it was offered to the Venerable Khenpo Kalsang.
The monastic is a unique and beautiful place situated on the heart of the Pokhara city as in front of the stadium of food ball which is called Rangasala and playground for all age group of people with back ground of Mount Machchapuchere (fishtail) Range.

This monastery is a home and school for many young children from the inaccessible and impoverished Himalayan region, Tibetan Refugee and Nepalese for Buddhist communities.
This monastery is a non-profit educational monastery. Presently, it has 15 students as monks who are studying in the basic monastic levels, they are educating in Tibetan, English, Nepali and Math.

Why volunteer to this monastery?
This is the heart of beautiful city called Pokhara which is one of the main attractions of tourist center of Nepal. But, this monastery is located at the outside of the tourist area with very peaceful place for children (monks) to study and practicing the Buddhism.
This monastery is small and which is run by the donation of local people and praying / offering prayer by these monks. They would like to give modern education with traditional Buddhist study and practicing to the younger monks.
Volunteer will contributed their knowledge of modern education to these young monks by teaching English, Social Studies, Math, songs, games etc.

Where to stay?
Volunteer will stay at the monastery with monks and they will have their foods with monks from same kitchen and in dining hall. Volunteer will provided separated room. Volunteers are contributing the community (monastery) by staying and having food from them and the money which your foods and lodging will go directly to welfare of the community (monastery).

How to get there?
This is very easy way to reach Pokhara, from Kathmandu to Pokhara everyday there is tourist bus which will take around 6 hours. These buses are comfortable and relax for volunteer. The volunteer coordinator will drop volunteer to monastery (placement) and will arranged volunteer schedule and whole program.
Himalayan Guge Organization supporting this monastery by sending volunteer teacher and its also sure that HGO contributing financially by paying some percentage of the volunteer fee for their placements( monastery)  for assist in any and every monastic can be run swiftly.
